In addition, we have a space gallery featuring exhibits that deal with the history of space flight and astronautics.
Also on display: Missiles, simulators and over 7000 rare and unusual aviation-related artifacts from the Museum's collections. Examples of ongoing permanent exhibits: "Black Aviators," the history of America's black pilots from World War I to the present.
"Experimental Aircraft," the trials and tribulations of aircraft design from the drawing board to the assembly line.
"American Aviation 'l5-'40," the "Golden Years" of American aviation between the two World Wars.
"Beyond the Edge," the early years of space exploration, the development of space age propulsion systems, training aids, and materials technology.
A large number of World War II-oriented exhibits including "Flak and Fighter," "War Souvenirs," and "Combat Gliders of World War II" plus a World War II barracks, the temporary home to tens of thousands of America's servicemen during the war.
Also, don't forget to visit the Titan Missile Museum, the only intercontinental ballistic missile complex open to the public and a real Cold War artifact.
