To preserve the prehistory, history and cultural history of Prescott, Yavapai County and Arizona.
The Sharlot Hall Museum is the largest museum in the central territory of Arizona, and is dedicated to providing educational adventures in human and natural history.
Founded by historian and poet Sharlot M. Hall in 1928, the Museum today explores the rich diversity of regional heritage through festivals, living history events, outdoor theater performances, changing exhibits, publications and research services.
A full city block of period homes, exhibits on Territorial Arizona history, central Arizona prehistory Native American history and natural history, beautiful grounds and gardens H.K. Porter steam locomotive. An original Modoc Stagecoach.

Folk Arts Fair, a community celebration of crafts, lifeways and entertainments from Arizona's Territorial Period, 300
demonstrators and performers, all free!
Prescott Indian Art Market, many of the finest NativeAmerican artists in paint, sculpture, beading, leatherwork, weaving, baskets and pottery. Show and sale and entertainment.
Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering, a lively festival celebrating Arizona's cowboys' oral traditions of storytelling and musicmaking. Over one hundred working cowboy performers. Daytimes free, evening shows require tickets.
Folk Music Festival, a celebration of traditional music and dance of Arizona and the Southwest. Two stages, three workshop areas, children's performance area, dance area; Sunday morning instrument swap meet. All free.
Blue Rose Historical Theater presents plays based on local history in the outdoor Amphitheater, Friday and Saturdays, 8:15 pm (when the cicadas stop); Sunday 7:00 pm
