Exhibits include the multi-level R.E. Phelon African Hall emphasizing the diversity of the continent's wildlife and cultures; Dinosaur Hall with a full-sized replica of Tyrannosaurus rex; the Exploration Center with participatory exhibits investigating natural and physical science; the Solvtia Eco-Center, an aquarium and live animal center; Mineral Hall; habitat groupings of mounted animals; Native American artifacts; a planetarium; and an exhibit on the Springfield-based aviation pioneers, the Granville Brothers.
Wednesday through Friday, noon-5 p.m.
Saturday and
Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m..
Also Tuesdays, noon - 5 p.m. during July and
August.
Group tours by appointment.
$6 for adults; $3 for Seniors and college students, $1 for children ages 6-18; free for children under 6 and members. Admission fee includes entry into all four Quadrangle museums. Admission is free to members of the Springfield Library & Museums and free on Fridays to Springfield residents with a current Springfield Library card.
