The Museum of Contemporary Art, the only institution in Los Angeles devoted exclusively to art from 1940 to the present, features changing exhibitions of painting, sculpture, drawings, prints, photographs, installations and environmental work of regional, national and international importance as well as the newest forms in contemporary art combining dance, theater, performance, film, video and music.
Visitors with Disabilities MOCA is committed to providing full and equal enjoyment of its services to all visitors. Both buildings are fully accessible to wheelchairs, and the inforrnation centers provide baby strollers and wheelchairs at no charge. A sign-language interpreter is available for groups of five or more upon request; five days' advance notice is required. MOCA is located in downtown Los Angeles in two of the world's most unique art exhibition spaces: MOCA at California Plaza (250 South Grand Avenue), designed by world-famous architect Arata Isozaki, and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (152 North Central Avenue), a former municipal warehouse renovated for exhibitions by renowned Los Angeles architect Frank Gehry.
