The Museum's mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret significant art, artifacts and information primarily related to the culture and history of the horse and the American West.
The Museum encourages the involvement and support of our visitors and the
community in order to provide the most enjoyable, educational, enlightening and
diverse programming possible.

The "Free Spirits at Noisy Waters" monument is a 1 & 1/2 times life-size sculpture of eight horses representing seven major breeds of American horses.
The Hubbard Museum of the American West also operates several museums in Historic Lincoln, the home of Billy the Kid.

Ruidoso Race Horse Hall of Fame, "Racy Ladies - The Fabulous Females of Quarter Horse Racing," Whirlwind of Change, Saddles, Carriages, Kids Corner, Conestoga Wagon and Chuck Wagon.
Seven days a week, year round 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.
