Local history. Pre-historic stone tools, natural history, school room. Changing exhibits.
The Museum is housed in a former school building, built in 1870 and named after Josiah Bartlett, a local resident who signed the Declaration of Independence. Exhibits rotate. Currently, they include:
A. An original schoolroom, with antique school desks, as well as children's games and toys.
B. A Natural History room, featuring a large collection of preserved birds, as well as fossils, minerals and shells.
C. Local history, including artifacts from Amesbury's once-flourishing carriage industry, old maps and mementos of the Town's history.
The Salisbury Point Railroad Society's museum is also located on the same site. The Railroad museum has an extensive collection of railroad artifacts.

The museum is open seasonally, and by appointment. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, the Bartlett Museum is open Fridays through Sundays form 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. (The Museum is also open 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on holidays.) To see the Museum during other times, or to make arrangements for group tours, call 918-388-4528 or 978-388-7950.
