Statement of Purpose

The museum operating under the auspices of the Monroe County Historical Society collects and displays artifacts relating to the history of Monroe County, Indiana and the state of Indiana.

Highlights & Collections

Two galleries of temporary displays currently showing the Civil Air Patrol and Costumes of Elegant Fabrics from the Elizabeth Sage Collection. Permanent exhibits featuring the history of Monroe County Indiana including such things as a completely outfitted log cabin, school room, stone cutter exhibit and Showers Furniture.

Working in Monroe, Playing in Monroe, Educating in Monroe, Protecting in Monroe, and Traveling in Monroe.
