The Secunda Provence Suite has taken the artist and his collaborators 2 years to complete.
It is made up of 9 beautifully boxed original giclée prints, each signed and numbered by the artist, measuring 9 1/2 x 12 inches and includes the only published poem of the late author, Henry Miller, also illustrated by Secunda.
The artisanship of Javis Fine Arts atelier provided the fine hand torn acid free imported paper and highly technical printing of Secunda's original watercolors, to such a degree that they are virtually undistinguishable from the originals.
This ensemble of 9 artworks is of museum calibre, each leaf pencil signed, designated, numbered and titled in the original, by the artist. The entire handsome boxed suite is now offered at the opening price of $3000.
The brilliant sun of the Midi casts a golden glaze over the landscape of Provence, resulting in a shimmering ethereal quality that is quite unlike any other light on earth. It is this mystic aura that served to inspire such artists as Van Gogh, Cézanne, and Matisse in their Provencal interpretations.
