To provide an enjoyable educational experience through
exhibits and programs focused on the cultural and natural history of
inland Southern California and the southwestern United States.
Highlights:
The San Bernardino County Museum is the largest museum
in inland Southern California.
Here you can enjoy exhibits in
anthropology and archaeology,
history,
rocks and minerals,
fossils,
birds,
mammals, and
fine arts.
Our hands-on Discovery Hall, a favorite of
children and families, features live animals and lots of activities.
The Special Exhibits Hall brings nationally touring exhibits to the region: coming up is Backyard Monsters 2, with giant robotic insects.
Special Family Fun Saturday programs combine hands-on fun with Museum-related topics and special events.
The Museum
also administers historic sites that give our guests an opportunity to visit authentic rancho homes and early settlements throughout San Bernardino County.
