Located on a spectacular bluff in La Jolla steps from the Pacific Ocean, the Museum of Contemporaly Art presents a highly acclaimed and varied schedule of exhibitions, lectures, educational programs, film, and performance. Over 54 years, the Museum has
grown from a local art center to an internationally known art museum whose collections and exhibitions culturally enrich the lives of San Diego residents and visitors from around the world. Exhibitions of painting, sculpture, site-specific installations,
prints, drawings, and video are presented throughout the year. The 3,000 works in the permanent collection, dating from 1950 to the present, include major examples of minimalist, conceptual, and California art of recent decades.
