Since its opening in November 1989, the Wexner Center has attracted international critical acclaim for its innovative architectural design, and for its bold artistic programming. In each of its program areas, the Wexner Center seeks to support and encourage artistic experimentation and investigation through artists' residencies and commissioned projects. Such initiatives provide artists with crucial financial support, along with access to professional resources and techinical expertise available at the Wexner Center and The Ohio State University, while also creating many opportunities for interaction with the university community and the public. By serving as both a vital national showcase and an active "laboratory" for the development of new works, the Wexner Center offers its audiences insight into the issues and ideas that shape contemporary culture.

Free Thursdays! Are you free after 5 pm? We are, on Thursdays, when admission to the galleries is free from 5 to 9 pm.
 

Admission & Directions:

The Wexner Center is located on North High Street at the corner of 15th Avenue on the campus of The Ohio State University.

PARKING
Convenient parking (with discounts for members) is available in the Ohio Union Parking Garage, located one block south of the Wexner Center on High Street.

BUS SERVICE
Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) buses provide direct and easy access to the Wexner Center from downtown and some outlying neighborhoods. The #2 bus runs north and south on High Street and stops at 15th Avenue from each direction. Visit COTA's Web site for details.

GETTING HERE BY CAR

From the North
Follow any major highway to I-270. Take I-270 West to SR 315 South. Exit at Lane Avenue. Turn left (east). See below for directions from Lane Avenue.

From the South
Take any major highway to I-71 North. Exit on I-71 North. Exit on the left to I-670 West. I-670 becomes SR 315 North just north of the construction zone. Exit at Lane Avenue. Turn right (east). See below for directions from Lane Avenue.

From the West
Take any major highway to I-70 East. Exit on I-71 North. Exit on the left to I-670 West. I-670 becomes SR 315 North just north of the construction zone. Exit at Lane Avenue. Turn right (east). See below for directions from Lane Avenue.
