MCA Downtown, the second location of the Museum of Contemporaly Art, San Diego, opened in January 1993 and showcases exhibitions of regionally, nationally and internationally distinguished contemporary artists. Lectures and tours for adults and children
are offered, as well as special noontime and early evening educational and social events. MCA Downtown and its adjacent Museum Store are conveniently located in the transportation hub of the city center - directly across the street from the Amtrak
