Statement of Purpose:
Our mission as a cultural and educational institution is to
preserve, interpret and conserve our legacy and collections.
Highlights:
Find sanctuary in the peaceful gardens that surround a
stunning Tudor Revival mansion.
Discover beauty within elegant rooms that boast hand-carved
details and sumptuous furnishings. Tour three art galleries to experience
ever-changing exhibitions that delight the senses and lift the spirit.
Enjoy the Paine's extensive legacy of fine paintings and
sculpture.
Works by French Barbizon masters such as Corot and Rousseau,
American paintings by Inness and Homer, etchings by Whistler and Durer and
sculpture by Frederic Remington and Helen Farnsworth Mears are just a sample of
the treasures.
Bring friends and family to enjoy summer lawn concerts, garden
demonstrations, art lectures, book discussions, festive plant sales and much
more!
Group tours of the mansion and gardens are available by
appointment.
Exhibits:
8 to 12 traveling and permanent collection exhibitions per
year. Please see www.paineartcenter.com for
a complete calendar of exhibitions. Also see select pieces from the
exhibitions.
Hours:
Tues - Sun: 11 - 4, Closed on Mondays and major
holidays.
Admission:
Paine members are FREE, Adults $5, Seniors $2.50, Students $2,
Children under age 12 with an adult are FREE
