Statement of Purpose:

To preserve our history and culture and educate the public about the past.

Historical museum, with emphasis on education, changing exhibits plus suitcases for loan and programs in schools.

Highlights & Collections:

Local and general history.  Log Cabin, One-room schoolhouse.

Photo archives, genealogy collection

Exhibits:

Photo collection from 1954 Union City Centennial. Log cabin.

Country store, barber shop, dentist office, print shop, Indian artifacts, Civil War diorama, local history.

January - December, 2000:  "The Evolution of Everyday Things," an exhibit of changes in common items such as telephones, cameras, recording devices, household appliances, etc. 

November & December: Parade of Trees. Annual competition for theme Christmas trees, decorated by groups or individuals. 

Hours:

Saturday & Sunday 1 - 4PM.

Admission & Directions:

Free!

Three blocks north of Highway 22 on Edwards Street.
