Experience Pack Place!

The vibrant centerpiece of downtown Asheville, this bustling complex includes The Asheville Art Museum, The Colburn Earth Science Museum, The Diana Wortham Theatre, The Health Adventure, and the  YMI Cultural Center. An Asheville landmark, Pack Place also offers meeting rooms and creative spaces for hosting special events.  Pack Place is the place for everyone!

The Asheville Art Museum offers visitors exciting experiences with 20th Century American art. The Museum features some of the century's best known artists and the creativity of Western North Carolina and the Southeast region.

The Health Adventure hosts eleven galleries filled with unique hands-on exhibits that offer fun and educational learning opportunities for kids ages 2 to 102. Learn about your body, exercise your mind, and expand your imagination!

The Diana Wortham Theatre is a 500+ seat theatre that affords a dramatic and sophisticated, acoustically perfect setting for a diverse range of local, regional and national performers.

The Colburn Earth Science Museum (formerly the Colburn Gem & Mineral Museum) allows you to explore the rich treasures of the earth at this museum called "a mini Smithsonian of Gems" by the Washington Post. See the fantastic shapes and colors of minerals from around the world, be dazzled by brilliant gemstones, and discover the vast hidden treasures that lay beneath the North Carolina soil!

The YMI Cultural Center is a National Historic Landmark that links past and present. Commissioned by Vanderbilt in 1803, this former Young Men's Institute now classes, performances programs and exhibits on African American art and culture.
