New York City's only hands-on science and technology center features
over 160 exhibits on color, light, optical illusions, audio and much more!
Highlights:
Visit the New York Hall of Science's newly expanded $13 million expansion
which includes the "Window on the Universe" exhibit, the "Technology Gallery,"
and "10K Radius art work."
The Window on the Universe is a giant interactive video display where visitors
can view faraway galaxies and distant planets.
The Technology Gallery features computers with an online connection to the
Internet, or use the latest CD-ROMs.
Ten Kilometer Radius, created by artist Fred
Tomaselli, is a wooden railing featuring 72 peepholes showing scenes within a
10 kilometer radius of the New York Hall of Science.
These exhibits are housed in a spectacular new building which boasts a soaring
47-foot-tall glass rotunda, state-of-the-art auditorium, and a dining pavilion
with floor to ceiling windows.
