MISSION STATEMENT

DISCOVERY is a private, non-profit children's museum designed to provide enjoyable learning experiences for Southern Nevada residents and visitors.

DISCOVERY presents exhibits and programs that are geared to the emotional physical and intellectual perspective of the child; they are designed to stimulate thought, imagination and understanding; and to expand perception through participation. The primary focus for exhibits is in the areas of the  arts, sciences and humanities. The majority of the Museum's exhibits and programs are designed for fullest participation and understanding for children 6-12. To address the needs of younger and older children, the Museum develops specialized programs and exhibits geared to early learners and adolescents.

The participatory nature of the Museum's exhibits and programs encourages interaction between child and adult, providing an opportunity for them to share a special learning experience through the joy of discovery.

The Museum is centrally located for easy access from all areas of Las Vegas, and is committed to serving children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.
