Statement of Purpose:

The center is a NASA testing facility named for Robert Goddard, the father of liquid-fuel rocket. It was established in 1959 and is NASA's first scientific laboratory devoted entirely to the exploration of space.

Highlights & Collections:
The visitor center offers a variety of ways to learn what Goddard is about.

Exhibits:
Tours include visits to working areas such as satellite control, spacecraft construction, testing, evaluation and communication operations.

Hours:
Seven days a week: 10-4.

Admission & Directions:
Free.
