Statement of Purpose
It is the mission of Guild Hall to serve its communities as a cultural center for the visual, performing and literary arts through the following means:
building, conserving and interpreting a collection devoted to the artists of eastern Long Island;
Providing an art exhibition program which addresses the cultural enrichment and educational needs of the community; theater programming which enlightens, educates and entertains; and events which link the museum and theater in thematic and interdisciplinary presentations;
Encouraging developing artists and audiences;
and providing a year-round schedule of art-related classes, workshops and educational outreach programs which are otherwise unavailable in the community.
