Present the work of Isamu Noguchi to the public in a museum designed and installed by the artist himself.
Highlights:
Located just across the East River from Manhattan, the museum displays over 250 works by Isamu Noguchi in 13 galleries and a sculpture garden.
Exhibits cover the entire 60-year career of this Japanese-American sculptor, and include his landscape and
garden designs, stage designs for choreographer Martha Graham, and the paper and bamboo lamps that he called Akari.
The heart of the museum is an outdoor sculpture garden in which large-scale granite and basalt sculptures were installed by Noguchi.
