Statement of Purpose:

Collect artifacts from the nearby "Battle of Washita" Battlefield, where General Custer massacred Cheyenne Chief Black Kettle and his village on the Washita River.

April 1-30: Traveling Exhibit -- The Image and the Word: The Exploration and Settlement of the American West, regular museum hours, free.
April 3 : Lecture (related to exhibit) by Dr. Mel Firgel on The Santa Fe trail and Its Effect on the Buffalos and Indians of the area.

Hours:
Tuesday through Saturday; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission & Directions:
Sunday, free.
