Statement of Purpose:

Collect, preserve and interpret whaling and maritime histories of Cold Spring Harbor and Long Island.

Highlights & Collections:

Authentic, Fully-equipped 19th Century Whaleboat;
Extensive Collection of Scrimshaw and Sailors’ Arts;
Natural History of Whales;
History of Long Island Whalers and Whaling;
Special Collection Library and Archives.

Exhibits & Special Events:

Special Exhibitions Mounted Annually;
Wide Range of Educational Programming;
Regularly Scheduled Special Programs, Presentations and Lectures.
Crafts Workshops and Special Children’s Interactive Programs.

Hours:
Tues-Sun: Labor Day to Memorial Day: 11-5; 7 days in Summer.

Admission & Directions:

Adults - $3; Seniors - $2; Students - $1.50
Located on NY Rte. 25A between Oyster Bay and Huntington, NY.
