Statement of Purpose
To provide and/or enable
-
1 Horticultural Education and Outreach- Disseminate horticultural information
and instruct in growing techniques to the public and volunteers.

2 Community Enrichment- A source of community pride and inspiration.

3 Beautification and Demonstration- Demonstrate landscapes and gardens for
beautification in the high plains climate.

4 Service- To seniors, handicapped and youth at risk who provide a majority
of the labor for the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.

5 Therapy- Utilizing horticulture as a mode of therapy for all volunteers.

6 Plants- To propagate, maintain and display plant
collections of a wide diversity for demonstration, inspiration, community
beautification, enrichment, therapy and education.
Highlights & Collections

To see a unique botanical garden where 95% of the work is provided by Seniors,
Youth and Handicapped volunteers.

To see the region's largest solar energy demonstration.

To see beautiful displays of native, ornamental and sub-tropical plants.
-
To see the region's largest glass art show held in
early February.
The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is a 5 minute walk through
a park to the Frontier Days Old West Museum. Park at one and visit both!
