Statement of Purpose:
The Texas Fire
Museum was founded in August
1999 to acquire, restore and preserve the old City of Dallas Fire
Department Maintenance Facility, that it may serve as an educational
resource for the community.
The Texas Fire Museum was also organized, to
assist the Dallas Firefighter's Museum and the North Texas Historical Fire
Society (SPAAMFAA) Chapter, in restoring and preserving fire
apparatus.
Highlights & Collections:
Presently, we have over 50 antique apparatus on
display.
Exhibits:
Motorized fire apparatus including aerial, engines and
quadruple combinations from 1921 to 1980, several hand drawn equipment, helmets,
coats, equipment, extinguishers, and more....
We authentically restore antique fire apparatus.
During restoration, the apparatus is displayed to educate our
visitors about the restoration process.

Tours: 10-2 Thursday through Saturday
