Statement of Purpose

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum preserves the heritage and culture of North America's most productive estuary.

Highlights & Collections

Located on 18 waterfront acres, the Museum's nine exhibition buildings tell the story of wooden boatbuilding, waterfowling, and steamboating. It also features a fully restored 1879 lighthouse.

The Museum maintains the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay vessels in the world, six of which make up our floating fleet. We also feature a rich collection of maritime art, decoys and historic structures.

Admission & Directions:

Adults: $7.50
Seniors: $6.50
Children 6-17: $3

The Museum is located in St. Michaels on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It is conveniently located about 90 minutes from Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Museum is located on Mill Street in St. Michaels.
