Statement of Purpose:
The Carnegie Museum of Natural History documents the diversity of the world
by collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting objects from the natural
world and human cultural heritage.
Highlights:
The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is world-famous for its Dinosaur Hall.
We have a rich and diverse collection of permanent and temporary exhibits.
There's lots to see and touch and do--for all ages! New life-sized dinosaur
sculpture, "Dippy", welcomes visitors on Forbes Avenue in front of the museum.
Spend the whole day or a few hours.
Visit our gift store and the Fossil Fuel cafe. Housed in the same building
as the world-class Carnegie Museum of Art.
