Art Fairs

Penman Art Fairs are a new series of events to complement the Antiques Fairs.
The general standard is high, being maintained by the careful choice of exhibitors, and some outside vetting. A small Advisory Committee guides the Penman Office in its choice of exhibitors.
Included: paintings, drawings, sculpture. Normally abstracts will not be shown. No resin castings permitted. No prints, but artists' etchings are permitted.
Price rang: £50 to £20,000.
There will be a packing service provided by the Organisers. Preview receptions at each Art Fair the evening before they open, 6-9pm, tickets must be booked in advance.

April 19 - 21: THE CHELSEA ART FAIR

Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London W8.
A new event, encompassing paintings, drawings & sculpure from the Old Masters to Contemporary works (avoiding abstracts).
Admission £3 inc. re - entry. Preview 18th April (£5 includes refreshments. Ticket must be booked in advance).

May 17 - 19: THE COTSWOLDS ART FAIR

Frogmill Inn, A40, Near Cheltenham Gloucester.
24 art dealers in the upper hall, with the possibility of a further 15 in the newly-refurnished lower hall at this historic old inn, for 3 centuries a resting place en route to London from Wales.
Admission £3 includes re - entry. Preview 16th May (Admission £5 includes refreshments. Ticket must be booked in advance)

June 28 - 30: THE WINCHESTER ART FAIR

The Guildhall, Broadway, Winchester, Hants.
In the King Alfred Hall and King Charles Suite. Amid Victorian Gothic extravagance, about 45 cxhibitors can be accommodated in a most unusual layout of stands, with plenty of hanging space.
The halls are on the 1st floor, with a restaurant and a lecture theatre. Preview 27th June (£5 incl. refreshment - ticket must be booked in advance) Admission £2 incl. re-entry.

July 26 - 28: THE MID-SUSSEX ART FAIR

Barkham Manor Vineyard, Piltdown, Nr Uckfield Sussex.
Running concurrently with the Country Antiques Fair. A welcome addition to the existing County Antiques Fair, in a marquee, connected to the thatched barn. 30 exhibitors.
Admission £2 (Combined admission to both Art & Antique Fair £4). Preview on 25th July (£5 incl refreshments bookable in advance)

August 30 - Sep 1: THE SWAN ART FAIR at TETSWORTH

Tetsworth on A40, Oxfordshire.
The Art Fair is in a marquee, to the rear of the Swan, which is a very successful Antiques Centre, housing stock from some 50 dealers, and a restaurant. Admission £2 incl. re-entry. Preview 29th August (Tickets £5 incl refreshments bookable in advance.)

October 16 -18: THE ARMOURY HOUSE ART FAIR

Honourable Artillery Company, City Road, London EC1.
In the Albert Room in Armoury House, where 40 cxhibitors display paintings, drawings and sculpture.
A high quality is maintained, whilst also offering some less expensive items.
(Preview 15th October. £5 incl. refreshment - bookable in advance) Admissiom £3 incl. re-entry.

Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8.
High quality, varied, colourful, bright and friendly. Vetted for authenticity.
Antiques over 100 years old for sale, £20 to £20,000 .
Admission £4 incl. re-entry.

February 15-18: CHESTER ANTIQUES SHOW

County Grandstand, Chester Racecourse, Chester, Cheshire.
The Best Antiques Fair in the North West. 50 stands, 8 roomsets, on 3 floors.
Just outside the City walls of historic Chester.
Admission £3 incl. catalogue & re-entry.

March 14 - 23: The CHELSEA ANTIQUES FAIR

Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3.
One of Britain's most traditional, elegant, & prestigious fairs, started in 1956.
Intimate event with 43 of Britain's formost dealers, top quality antiques.
Admission £5 incl, catalogue & re-entry.

July 25 - 28: SUSSEX COUNTRY Antiques Fair

Barkham Manor, Piltdown, Near Uckfield, East Surrex.
23 specialists in an 18th century thatched barn.
Superb catering/tours of winery. Admission £2 to Fair, £2 for conducted wine tour & tasting.
Running in conjunction with the Mid Sussex Art Fair, held in on adjoining marquee. (paintings, drawings & sculpture. Admission to both fairs £4.

August 15-18: WEST LONDON Antiques Fair

Kensinton Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8.
High quality, varied, colourful, bright and friendly. Vetted for authenticity.
Antiques over 100 years old for sale, £20 to £20,000.
Admission £4 incl, re-entry.

September 12 - 21: The CHELSEA ANTIQUES FAIR

Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3.
Traditional, elegant, prestigious but intimate.
Top quality Antiques.
Admission £5 incl. catalogue & re-entry.

Oct 31 - November 3: KENSINGTON Antiques Fair

Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, l.ondon,W8
90 stands of Antiques on 3 floors, with three different periods.
Articles from 3000 BC to 1940 AD. Admission £4 incl. re-entry.


All Penman Fairs are fully vetted by expert committee for authenticity with strict datelines.
